What inspired you to pursue a career in IT?
I’m more of a promoter of Cisco in general, versus the IT piece. I started as a part-time receptionist in 2010, and have worked my way up to the US Commercial leadership team. It’s a fab place to work!
What is the most challenging part about being a woman in IT?
There are still men out there with this “holier than though” attitude.
What is the most rewarding part about being a woman in a leadership role?
Feeling important to whoever it is you’re leading. Being that person that they know they can rely on.
Why is diversity in business important to you?
Diversity is the spice of life!
What advice would you give an aspiring female IT leader?
Put yourself out there as often as possible and always bring ideas to the table.
